Electrical safety inspections

Our electricians are able to offer Electrical installation condition reports otherwise known as E.I.C.R's. these reports ensure electrical safety standards are met as they identify any damage, deterioration, defects or conditions which may give rise to danger, along with observations for which improvement is recommended. Whether you own a home or a business, your properties electrical installations should always be covered by an in date E.I.C.R this is because the main purpose of an EICR is to guarantee the safety of the residents and to ensure they are not susceptible to electrical shocks or fires this is why some people know them as electrical safety reports.

landlords and business owners are legally responsible for the welfare of their tenants and employees and can be prosecuted should they be harmed due to unsafe electrics. EICRs will ensure the condition of the electrics meet regulatory standards and if they do not advice will be given on what needs to be done so that they do.

If the report deems the properties electrical installations are satisfactory the E.I.C.R will remain valid for five years.

Firstly an E.I.C.R is required to check the property is electrically safe, safety is always a top priority in any home. What will be inspected?

During an E.I.C.R, the consumer unit, wiring and electrical accessories are thoroughly tested and inspected for any faults or signs of divergences from the Wiring Standards. Throughout the test, the following will be inspected and tested:
